Tis indeed "The Year of Lear"... For in addition to Vancouver Island Shakespeare Arts summer production at Fisherman's Wharf Park - Local James Bay playwright David Elendune will be premiering "Leer" his brand new female-centric adaption of the bard's tragedy at this year's Victoria Fringe Festival (Aug-Sept)... "Woe to you, oh Earth and Sea, for the Devil sends the beast with wrath - Wendy Magahay stars as Satan in an originally sinful reimagining of the mother & daughter fight from Hell." David also has an adaptation of Frankenstein opening in Hamilton this August after winning the "Classical Theatre Company's Playwrighting Competition".
