Neighbourhood Garden News

The provincial government has issued a call for proposals to design and build a pollinator and nectar forage garden on the grounds of the BC Legislature, near the corner of Menzies and Superior Streets.

South Park School PAC has received a Whole Kids Foundation grant to expand their permaculture garden. Plans include adding more fruit trees and a pollinator garden.

The James Bay Plant Swap and Sale will be back this May. If you have started a few too many seeds or are dividing perennials, please set the extras aside for the sale. You can trade or sell plants on your own behalf or donate them to the JBNA Gardening Committee to sell in order to help fund future neighbourhood gardening projects.
