What if there were a million dollars in a bank account just for you but you didn't know about it? Margaret Hunt believes in a caring God and his power to heal and transform people's lives. She laments that so many people are missing out on a source of love and comfort that is there 24/7. Our talented Beacon writer has been a spiritual person from day one. Now that her life has almost come full circle, she has self-published a book of love letters to God - the perfect venue to express herself about the one intimate relationship where she suffers no betrayals, has a celestial shoulder to cry on and an ever-present source of unconditional love.

Stepping Into His Presence is a poignant and beautifully written collection of letters from Margaret's deepest heart in devotion to the heavenly man in her life. The poems reveal a very intimate loving relationship that has sustained her through many personal trials. Her book is a cool river of starlit jewels that soothe the soul, essential reading for those craving a peaceful oasis from our edgy world. Her words inspire us with hope. Someone is always there, caring, holding us close.

As we sit together in her home in Fairfield, Margaret is all aglow with her Cheshire Cat smile and warm kind personality. Margaret feels genuine inspiration when she writes: "My writings want to be written and the words compel me to write. They flow out of me from the first sentence. I plan nothing. They do." Her book is a catharsis. She talks to her divine confidante about her anxieties, her sorrows, and her joys. Margaret reveals that she turned to writing to give her a voice when she felt she had none. And she has been collecting her love poems to God for thirty years. Recently her faithful friends gently nudged her into getting them published in her own book.

Margaret's stellar writing flows like sweet gold.  In "A Star Appears," she reflects :

And I realize that I, too,

                              Am changing.

My old life is falling away

As it floats to the ground.

                              It matters not.

It makes way for the spring -

                              For hidden stars

                              And constellations

                              Dreams and revelations

                              Of You

                              And that is enough.

Congratulations, Margaret. Your love letters are now etched on gilded paper, right next to your "Lemon-yellow and lime-green glories."
