Return of the Cruise Ships

It was mitts and toque weather on April 16 when the Crystal Symphony, first cruise ship of the 2011 season, docked at Ogden Point. Passengers received a warm Victoria welcome from Victoria AM members, Harbour Authority reps, First Nations, media and local MLA Ida Chong. Cruise ship visits are down slightly from last year, with 210 calls anticipated over the summer. Of particular interest to ship watchers during May are the Disney Wonder - in port May 2; the Regatta - May 14; and the Seven Seas Navigator - May 24.
