It’s evident from our only James Bay grocery store that it is time to have a second store to shop at. At this time, they have a captive group here in James Bay, with pricing at times 40% more over the same product at other grocers.

A lot of residents have nowhere else to go without great difficulty and are forced to pay more than they should.

Let’s hope with the new complex now being developed at Menzies and Superior Street that a new place to buy our groceries moves in. It is long overdue in an area of 15,000-plus residents.

Competition is a good thing for us all.
