Seedy Saturday

Feb 2016

By Anne Draper

Victoria Conference Centre located 720 Douglas Street is the setting for this year's popular Spring Seed and Garden Show, offering local BC open pollinated organic and natural seeds, seedlings, plants, small fruits and succulents, plus a seed exchange table. Local seeds grow better, carrying the genetic properties of the local ecosystem within. Master Gardeners will be available to answer questions. Displays of garden and food products, a used gardening book exchange, a kid’s activity area, a Seedy Café, and ATM are planned on site, making the event a family friendly show. Talks on local gardening opportunities plus information on classes and workshops that help bring people together to develop and maintain our beautiful Garden City standing, are scheduled from 10 am to 2pm. Seedy Saturday has become an annual event sponsored by The James Bay Market Society. Admission $7 at the door and children under 16 free. Voice Mail: 250 381 5323 or e-mail: vicseedysat@gmail.com
