On December 5th from 10am – 5pm, the James Bay Market Society will present the 35 Annual Dickens Fair. We have many quality-juried vendors returning from last year plus many new vendors who will be delighting you with their original creations and incredible products.
The James Bay Community Center will stimulate your senses with two large rooms full of the area’s most talented local artisans. The Dickens café will be run by a Victoria and James Bay favorite, The Heron Rock Bistro and don’t forget our Door prizes of $100 and $50 VISA gift cards!
The James Bay Community School PAC committee will be coordinating the children’s craft area and the PAC will also have a booth set up at our fair, come out and support those amazing people who do so much for the children. Bring the whole family!
Marilyn the “Chicken Lady” who will be introducing us to her incredible feathered friends that is always a big hit with kids young and old. We are also happy to welcome balloon artist, Kyle Mitchell to the Dickens. Whether you want a unicorn or a fancy sword, a giant bug or a butterfly, Kyle can twist up almost anything your imagination conjures up. A Special thank-you to Mark Imhoff of Coldwell Banker’s Realty James Bay for donating the funds to pay for the Balloon Twister!
The Dickens Fair has something for everyone. You will find everything from great homemade foods to uniquely crafted gifts. This is an amazing opportunity to meet and support your local artisans, hear their stories and learn first-hand how they make, bake and craft their wares.
Looking for one-of-a-kind driftwood game boards? Herbal teas? Handmade jewelry? You'll find it all, Ruby's Natural Handmade Soap will have handcrafted soap and body oils, Rene "Sans" Salsa will be there with his delicious varieties of homemade salsas. Bake My Day will “make your day” with the tastiest gluten-free baked products, Bo's Beautiful Creations, Andrea Kosorinova, and Fashion Knitwear will keep you warm with their crocheted and knitted creations, Edweena's Handcrafted Creations will wow you with her vast array of beautiful handmade dolls.
