John What is your favourite Book?
John is an avid reader of many authors but prone to English writers. To John a book, be it about travel, business, an intriguing life or whatever, has to be a good story. |
Not an easy question especially, when asked right off the top. After some discussion and thought the answer, “Imperial Woman.” A novel by Pearl S Buck set in 19th century China about the Empress behind the Emperor, the woman who really ruled China.|
Sue What is your favourite book?
Sue is a frequent visitor from Vancouver and eventually plans to live in Victoria. |
She pondered a few minutes before she responded, “Time Travelers Wife” by Audrey Niffenegger about a young man who discovers he can travel in time and change what happens and has happened in his own life. Sue found the book a “surprising, heart wrenching love story”.|
Marion What is your favourite book?
Marion is a Saskatchewan transplant happily settled in Victoria. |
With no hesitation Marion responded, “Your Erroneous Zones” by Wayne W. Dyer, a book written in the 80’s, a self-help to help people plagued by self-guilt and falling into self-destructive habits. It was a book that changed her life.
