Victoria Health Co-op

Some things just make people feel good. For you maybe it’s a drumming circle, walking in a forest, dance, sitting on the beach, reflexology, eating something that is both delicious and nutritious, meditation, poetry, protecting a beloved family member from financial abuse, or dealing with a challenging medical situation. There is so much to discover about what leads to our wellness, and so much to share with others.

The Co-op Wellness Fair will be yet another community outreach project of the Victoria Health Co-op. We will co-host this “by donation” event Nov 7 and 8 with the Creating Community Wellness Society and Fairfield United Church.

We invite everyone interested in the amazing variety of paths to wellness, to visit 1303 Fairfield @ Moss 10 – 4 Saturday, 7 November, 1 – 4 Sunday, 8November. Visit the displays, participate in a presentation, enjoy a mini-treatment.

To book a display table, make a 15 minute presentation or provide a 15 minute mini-treatment, just email coopwellnessfair@gmail.com or call 250 415 9272. There is no set charge for any of these although we very much appreciate donations towards the costs of organizing and hosting.

Who are the co-hosts? Creating Community Wellness Society is a registered charity that raises funds for the outreach wellness, health and social services activities in our community such as this Fair and the Hans Kai (group well-being) program. The Victoria Health Co-op is a group of almost 500 people, mainly in Victoria who, which runs monthly wellness clinics and the Health Access Fund for members; delivers a range of community outreach programs such as this Fair, Choices and Hans Kai; and runs the Co-op Health Centre at 547 Michigan Street. Fairfield United, 1303 Fairfield @ Moss, is a generous host to many community gatherings and has supported the health co-op sector with excellent meeting spaces for 15 years.
