Letter - Camping in the park
Oct 2015
I have seen a letter regarding campers at the park now seeking scenery. I don't think there is anything wrong with the homeless seeking scenery. After all, there are people who enjoy the pleasantries of nature. However, I do not like the lack of respect shown to the land with added scenery of garbage that could easily be picked up and discarded, and added signage or other graffiti too is a NO NO. As a camper in your city, yes homeless, I too am disappointed by some who seem not to care. And others know not how to move ahead to seek a better way of life for various reasons. Being an asset in society versus being a liability? That is a question. I would love to own land in B.C. It can be said that one can be born in British Columbia yet can't afford to buy property here. There is a great divide between rich and poor. Sleeping in a tent allowed me the opportunity to purchase land, unfortunately in another province, now paid in full. Still sleeping in a tent to save finances to build, I seek jobs through Trades Labour Company to accomplish what I can when I can in my sober being on this planet. Drug free and rarely, rarely, rarely participate in alcoholic beverages. Survival of the fitness. Hmmm, a lot of truth in that too I guess.
