Cruise Ship Noise Response – The noise and activity criticisms by Messrs McQueen and Friedman in the July/August issue indicate that they did not do their respective researches before deciding to live where they live. Victoria has a working harbour with real ships (and planes and helicopters) and a thriving tourism scene, and what part of that do they not understand? I live in retirement in James Bay, near Menzies and Dallas, and I wouldn't live anywhere else (for now), close to all the sounds and activity that a working harbour and downtown provides. If they want dead quiet and total inactivity, I would suggest 10 Mile Point as a preferable domicile location.
