Do you want to become a better communicator? Would you like to be more comfortable speaking to a group? You are not alone. Attending a Toastmaster’s meeting is a first step of an exciting journey towards developing your communications skills. And, at Toastmasters, you can have fun doing it!
James Bay Toastmasters wants to help you learn to make what you say interesting and captivating to listeners. Whether you are called upon to deliver a eulogy or want to express an opinion at work or in a community setting, it’s advantageous to take this step to improve your communication skills.
Toastmasters International has an internationally recognized program that helps take the jitters out of public speaking. James Bay Toastmasters provides a supportive environment where you can explore many approaches to public speaking, such as employing humour or storytelling. Attending meetings with other Toastmasters gives you an opportunity to learn and practice while getting important feedback from others.
James Bay Toastmasters meetings are held the 2 and 4 Thursday of each month in the James Bay Community Project, 547 Michigan Street, from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Attend a meeting or contact us by email for further information. Contact: Delia McCrae (President) dmccrae@telus.net or Brian Lepicq (VP Membership) blepicq@shaw.ca
Guests and newcomers are welcome. We look forward to welcoming you to James Bay Toastmasters.
