Jazz Fest celebrates 31 years

The Victoria Jazz Festival is celebrating its 31st year, a credit to Darryl Mar, its originator, Festival Producer and Artistic Director.

From the ticketed "Marquee Series," "Presentation Series," "Minimum Charge Performances" to "Free Performances" on Saturday and Sunday in Centennial Square, there is something for everyone.

A peek at a few of Victoria Jazz Festival 2015 headliners:

Classic Jazz - Bria Sconberg’s trumpet forges a combination of New Orleans jazz-blues with touches of swing, pop and world music. Sunday, June 28 - 8:30pm Harbour Towers Hotel.

Jazz and Rock - The Bad Plus Joshua Redman, a piano trio gifted at rock and jazz with Joshua Redman, most acclaimed jazz master of his time, tenor sax as the bonus. Tuesday, June 23 - 7:30pm McPherson Playhouse.

Jazz, Brazilian,classical and pop music - Elaine Elias a pianist, singer and composer has forged a unique style that combines passion with elegance. Saturday, June 27 - 7:30pm McPherson Playhouse.

These are just a smattering of the treasures presented at Victoria Jazz Festival 2015.
