City of Victoria

Mayor’s Community Drop-In is scheduled: every other Friday and provides an opportunity for members of the public to drop in to meet her to share thoughts, ideas and concerns.

The next scheduled times are 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on March 6 and 20. The Drop-Ins will be in the Mayor’s chambers.

Dog Stats

The city believes we have 13,000 to 16,000 dogs residing in Victoria, though only 6500 are licensed. In James Bay twenty-eight percentage of homes have one or more dogs licensed. The most popular breeds are Labs or Lab crosses and Golden retrievers. Owners of unlicensed dogs can be fined up to $125. per day for non-compliance.

The deadline for the Solar hot water CRD incentive program, March 2015, is fast approaching, and a few rebates remain.  Act fast as installations can take up to two months to complete.
