Truly Spring

Never fear spoiling children by making them too happy with love.
For that is a God-given gift from above.
Happiness is the atmosphere in which all good affections grow,
Nurtured by the seeds we sow.
I have strong affection for every child,
Whether they are shy or wild.
A profound respect for each life, with possibilities galore,
I believe they need models, not critics, more!
Over 70 years ago, on the first day of spring.
My son, Don was born and we both fought for our life to cling.
Thank you God, for the years of joy to our lives he did give:
Though to become a senior, he didn’t live.
When life’s arrows are bombarding.
I thank you God, for angels, who, him and us are guarding.
There are no reasons for past regrets.
God’s love is spring in our hearts, as we move on, for He forgives and forgets.
