Theme:  What makes James Bay unique

The wait is over! The Beacon’s second photo contest is underway! Get that camera out of its case and show us your vision of what makes James Bay unique. The August issue will showcase many of the images you submit: heritage houses, horse drawn carriages, cyclists, athletes in the park. Send us your unique picture of James Bay.

The Winning Photo will be on the cover of the August issue. The winner will receive a Unique Prize (TBA). Honorable Mentions will be printed throughout the issue.

Deadline: Friday, May 1, 2015.

Who may enter: All who live or work in James Bay except Board Members of the James Bay Beacon.

How to submit: e-mail, regular mail, drop off during office hours. Identify each picture with your name, address, and telephone number. Information about the picture is appreciated: subject and location, names of people, possibly a caption.

Some guidelines: Maximum five entries per person. Photos may be in colour or black and white, but suitable for black and white reproduction.

A few suggestions:  the breakwater, turn of the century houses, contemporary houses, actions shots, driftwood, beaches, bridges, fences, open spaces, games, gardens, flowers, personalities, boats. Well, you get the idea! Show us what you see, how you see the diversity and uniqueness of James Bay.
