I write this view of the December 2014/January 2015 cover page that features bold commercial Christmas advertising. And the unique artwork of James Bay Community School Centre students is buried on pages 2, 4, 8, 17, 19, and 24. Why has the James Bay market Society taken unpaid advertising precedence? How will other advertising clients feel about this radical change for a Christmas Holiday issue of their neighbourhood newspaper? I submit that many of the Dickens Fair vendors are not residents of James Bay and do not advertise in the paid sections.

Please consider this view as an important issue to be taken up with James Bay Beacon volunteers who may or may not agree with the current Christmas Holiday issue.
