Feeling Off Song

I thought “I need a hobby-

to what shall I aspire?

a notice in the lobby

said come join our local choir.

So I practised in the shower

 ‘till my voice became a squeak

sang ‘SOPRANO’ for an hour

which raised my eyebrows for a week.

But voices are like people

a different shape or size and

when I sang a chorus they said

“You’re no Barbra Streisand.”

So if I’m asked to sing again

I think this time I will “REFRAIN”.
